Baltimore-based Crista Ramone was founded on two things: make an honest living and work hard for the things you want. With those things in mind, the early years of her life were dedicated to school and work. But the constant in her life besides these things was the power to imagine. Imagine a world not yet created, a world where race and gender wasn't so important and where people could say and do what they felt. Many of these dreams were sometimes captured in the books, movies, and animated series that became so crucial in her life. Internet life, it seemed, was far better than living in reality for Ramone, building a reputation on role playing sites and artist forums with vivid imagery in both print and design.
But as so many of us have learned, Ramone eventually grew up and out of the things she once loved as a child and sheltered teenager. Society started to pull her in through temptations of the heart, mind, and body, ultimately losing herself in a sea of conformity.
Nonetheless, Ramone became painfully aware of what had become of herself once transferring back to Baltimore to finish out her college career. With the knowledge of the past and the possibilities of the future, Ramone decided that it was time to live her life by her own rules without the outside influence of a niche society. The activities of her early childhood have greatly influenced many of the activities she enjoys today such as drawing, literature, music, fashion design, and film production.
Ramone is currently working on finishing school and adapting new methods on how to stay true to herself and incorporating her interests into her daily life. With a little imagination, Ramone believes that anyone can follow their dreams and with a little faith and determination, that dream may come true.
